About me

Hi, I’m Cathy. I’m a certified Coach and an experienced Marketing Consultant. I set up Find Clarity after qualifying with a Distinction in Coaching & Mentoring (PG Cert) and wanting to combine my love of Coaching with my experience in Marketing and Communications. 

 

As a Coach:

 

I work both one to one with individuals and with teams and groups. Many of my clients are the leaders of small-medium sized businesses, or those who are transitioning to self employment and looking to launch a new venture. I also work with clients who generally feel a bit of ‘lacklustre’ with life and / or work, and are contemplating walking a new path but want to build up the confidence to do so.  Recently I have also begun working with individuals looking to return to work after a period of ill health or an extended career break as a result of dealing with this myself after a substantial break from work and a gradual re-entry to work due to Long Covid.

 

I use a range of techniques to raise awareness, challenge and support my clients to enable them to access the development and forward momentum they seek. I draw from several methodologies to do this including Gestalt, NLP, solutions-focussed and positive psychology theory. 

 

The atmosphere in my sessions is friendly, relaxed, supportive and stimulating. My clients tell me that this combined with deep listening, attentive questioning and the time to reflect creates the right conditions for them to do their very best thinking and gain clarity on their situation. This helps them to unpack ‘roadblocks’ and reveal pathways towards growth, positive change and maximising their potential. For those who need it I also provide structured planning workshops to support clients to turn the ideas they gain from our sessions into concrete plans.

I am a member of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council (EMCC)  and subscribe to EMCC’s Code of Ethics (see http://www.emccuk.org). 

 

As a Marketing Consultant:

 

I work with clients across a broad range of sectors and industries, usually small to medium sized organisations looking for support to develop a marketing strategy or strengthen their marketing function. With 18 years experience and a history as a Head of Marketing in the Tech / Energy, Recruitment and Charity sector my experience is broad, however my specialist areas are strategy and brand, content planning, events and website management. For the last 8 years I have run a small consultancy and understand the anxiety of setting up as self employed and ‘going it alone’ in business. 

 

Outside of work I like to be outdoors and keep healthy. I enjoy yoga, meditation, walking and being with my two children.
